Kactain is the brainchild of Brazilian artist Kayo Ridolfi Carvalho from the state of Minas Gerais. Born in 1991 with a deep-seated passion for music, he began piano lessons at the age of three, learned guitar, and served as a vocalist in several bands during his teenage years.

Kayo’s journey with electronic music started at the age of 23, ignited by the vibrant atmosphere of music festivals. This experience deepened his love for music, leading him to pursue DJing and later, music production studies.

After years of dedicated study, Kayo launched his first Psytrance project, Fungosodia. In 2024, he embarked on a new journey with the project Kactain, exploring lower BPMs.

Kactain is envisioned as a cactus, a captain of the desert, symbolizing resilience and leadership in a challenging environment. This project represents a unique blend of his musical skills and creativity, showcasing his evolving journey in the world of electronic music and his passion for all kind of art.
