Kactain is the creative endeavor of Brazilian artist Kayo Ridolfi Carvalho, hailing from the culturally rich state of Minas Gerais. Born in 1991 with an innate passion for music and art, he began piano lessons at just three years old, later learning guitar and performing as a vocalist in various bands during his adolescence.
His artistic journey took a pivotal turn at the age of 23 when he discovered electronic music at festivals. This experience ignited a profound passion for music and art, leading him to delve into DJing and subsequently, music production.
After years of rigorous study and artistic exploration, Kayo launched his first Psytrance project, Fungosodia. In 2024, he embarked on a new, explorative journey with the project Kactain, where he experiments with lower BPMs.
Kactain is more than just a musical project; it’s a representation of a cactus, a desert captain, embodying resilience, creativity, and leadership amidst challenging terrains.
